This is the hilarious moment a holidaymaker smacked her sleeping friend on a plane so she could answer a flight attendant's question.

Rian Camancho playfully hit her friend's hat, waking up Rizza Mae Capundag, when the cabin crew stopped by their row to ask what meal she wanted during their mid-flight service from Thailand to the Philippines.

Footage shows Rizza jolting awake from the slap and giving Rian a side-eye, before being directed to the waiting attendant on August 8.

The crew member can be heard saying: 'We have fried tilapia and also pork stew.'

Still half-asleep, Rizza chose the tilapia, which the attendant confirmed before moving on.

Rizza said: 'My friend told me not to sleep because she was too shy to answer the flight attendant. But I still dozed off. I was about to get mad when she woke me, but I held back since the crew was right in front of us.'
