A group of conservation workers used CPR to revive two monkeys that had been electrocuted.

Visuals from the incident show two forest officers carefully handling one of the monkeys. They are seen supporting the animal while beating its back and rubbing its arms, performing CPR with precise, human-like techniques. Their actions eventually revive the monkey, bringing it back to life. One of the two monkeys appeared to have suffered a head injury from the fall, while the other showed no visible external injuries.

Forest workers Udaya and Sachitra acted swiftly, administering CPR just as they would to humans. Their timely efforts revived the monkeys, whose heartbeat had temporarily stopped following the electric shock from a nearby power line. Locals who witnessed the rescue praised the forest workers’ swift and skilled response, emphasising the importance of immediate action in such emergencies.

The monkeys were safely monitored after the rescue, and both have since shown signs of recovery. Arun P R, Beat Forest Officer, Palode Forest Range, Golden Valley Forest Check Post, Ponmudi Tourism, commented on the event, praising the team’s dedication and love for wildlife.
