A coach operated by AI SATS, a ground handling service provider at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, caught fire this morning at Terminal 3, bay number 32.

The bus, used to ferry passengers between the terminal and aircraft, was empty at the time of the incident. Preliminary reports suggest a suspected short circuit as the cause of the fire.

AI SATS, which provides ground handling services to several airlines including Air India, has yet to issue an official statement. No injuries have been reported so far.

Further details are awaited.
