11-16-25 A big rig caused big delays today on the Northbound I-5 freeway just south of Mountain Parkway.

Los Angeles County Fire Department and CHP responded to the collision at 10:00 A.M.

It's unknown if the big rig was a solo traffic collision or if another vehicle was involved. LACoFD mentioned through radio dispatch they were requesting Hazmat to respond due to the fuel spill with a puncture on the right side saddle tank.

The fuel spill didn't affected any drains and dirt from the area was used to contain the spill. Around 11:03 A.M. CHP requested a SIG Alert for lanes number 2, 3 and 4 to be shut down and a heavy duty tow truck was requested to tow the tractor trailer weighting 64,000 lbs. per CHP.

No injuries were reported.
