This is the shocking moment a herd of rampaging wild boars crashed into a tricycle as it drove past a home in China.

CCTV footage shows three hogs sprinting across the street as a green three-wheeler entered a compound in Hebei on November 14.

One of the beasts can be seen colliding with the tricycle while the other two dashed around the area.

Moments later, one of the boars bolted back towards the road.

Homeowner Jing Jing said: 'I saw shattered glass outside my home, and when I checked the surveillance camera to see what happened, I saw one of the boars breaking it.'

No one was reportedly injured in the encounter.

Local media reported that China's wild boar population has risen to around two million, with increasing numbers straying into urban areas and causing damage.

In 2023, wild boars were removed from China's list of protected terrestrial wildlife species, meaning they are no longer classified as state-protected.

Jin Kun, director of the Institute of Protected Areas at the Chinese Academy of Forestry, said: ‘The animals often descend from mountains in spring and autumn to look for food.'
