This is the dramatic moment a landslide crashed onto a road in front of shocked drivers in the Philippines.

Footage captured by Diosdado Salvidar shows soil and rocks cascading down the mountainside as motorists watch in disbelief just a few metres from the scene in Viga, Catanduanes.

Residents can be heard screaming in fear as the earthfall continues in Pedro Vera Village on Saturday, November 22.

Diosdado said: ‘At around 6 am it began falling little by little, and after around 15 minutes, a full landslide occurred. Miraculously, no one was buried.'

Authorities confirmed no one was injured in the incident and that clearing operations are already underway in the area.

Motorists were left stranded as the debris completely blocked the highway.

Local media reported that the landslide was likely triggered by heavy rainfall since Friday night.
