Shocking moment 'drunk driver' smashes through shop injuring three men sitting outside
This is the shocking moment an out-of-control drunk driver smashed into a shop - injuring three men who were sitting outside drinking.
The lads were relaxing on chairs while supping whiskey after finishing work at the electrical store when the white Nissan suddenly veered off the road and clattered into them.
CCTV footage from January 25 shows one how one man was flung onto the bonnet, another hurled to the left of the car and the third was pushed through the glass shop front.
Miraculously, all of them survived, with two of the group suffering minor cuts and the third being treated in hospital for leg wounds caused by the broken glass.
Police arrived at the scene and the female driver was arrested after allegedly admitted being drunk at the wheel, which caused the accident in Khon Kaen, northeast Thailand.
The shop assistant manager, Mayuree, said: "I hope this accident will raise more awareness for all motorists.
''Nobody would expect to be hit by a car while they were just sitting outside the shop relaxing. The driver as drunk and she admitted it. That's why she crashed.''
Mayuree said the female driver agreed to pay the medical costs of the injured men and also the cost of repairing the shop.
She said that local police ''mediated'' with the driver to arrange compensation. The driver has not been prosecuted.
