Elephant strays into residential region in Sri Lanka
A wild elephant strayed into the residential region, ensuing panic among the locals in Sri Lanka's North Central Province on July 24. The incident took place in the Minneriya National Park located in Rambawilla.
A video features a stray elephant walking on the roads. Amusement grips the locals as the jumbo suddenly appears among them. They tail the pachyderm around while the magnificent creature tours the area.
The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors. They often relocate across the streets and chase after the passers-by, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
