Vessel 'EGS Watchful' has been tasked by the Gov to survey what's widely considered to be the UK's most dangerous shipwreck - SS Richard Montgomery - which lies 1.5 miles north of Sheerness in Kent.

The doomed vessel sank with 1400 tonnes of explosives onboard in 1944.

Footage shows the survey vessel travelling in between the three masts at high tide this afternoon (April 27) to perform a sonar survey of the ship's submerged hull.

The Gov plan on cutting off the masts at some point this year to reduce strain on the rest of the ship.
