A railway constable saved a woman from sliding into the gap between a train and a platform in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on May 5. The incident took place at the Tirupati Railway Station.

CCTV footage features a train leaving the moderately busy station. Within moments, a woman tries to detrain the moving locomotive. However, she loses her balance and falls on the platform, about to slip into the passage under the train. Right then, a vigilant railway constable rushes to her rescue and pulls her to safety.

The woman was on her way to Tirumala on the Tirumala Express with her husband when the incident unfolded. The couple overslept and woke up only when the train began to leave the station. In a hurry, they tried to detrain, following which the woman fell on the platform.

Upon noticing the female passenger lose her balance, Railway Constable Satish rushed to her rescue and pulled her to safety. He saved her from sliding into the passage between the moving locomotive and the platform and averted a fatal accident.
