Forest officials helped a female elephant out of a puddle in southern India's Karnataka on May 15. The incident took place in the Moleyur range of Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

Visuals feature the elephant struggling to get out of the puddle. Whenever the jumbo tries to lift itself, its weight pulls it down.

Following this, the forest officials of the tiger reserve reached the spot and swung into action.

They arranged an excavator, which helped the female elephant out of the mud puddle by giving it a gentle nudge.

The excavator driver patiently supports the mammal, and the elephant gets up. Later, the elephant slowly retreats towards the forest cover.
