Panic ensues among locals as landslide strikes northeastern India

Panic gripped the locals after a landslide occurred in northeastern India's Sikkim on May 28. The incident took place in the South Sikkim district.

Visuals feature a landslide occurring in the region. Rocks and dirt roll down from a mountain and cover a road adjacent to the hilly area. As the boulders make their way down, they damage and break the trees coming in their way. The street gets covered in debris while panic ensues among the onlookers.

The incident unfolded in the Ezam Kholsa Reshep Dalep region. Clouds of dirt rose and engulfed the area as the rocks slowly rolled down towards the road. Meanwhile, the locals gathered at a safe distance and beheld the experience.
