Landslide enuses panic among locals in northeastern India
Panic gripped the locals after a landslide occurred in northeastern India's Sikkim on June 3. The incident took place in Tumin, located in the East Sikkim district.
Visuals feature a landslide occurring in the region. Rocks and dirt roll down from a mountain and disappear into the valley adjacent to the hilly area. As the land subsides, the boulders make their way down, damaging the trees coming in their way. Meanwhile, panic ensues among the onlookers.
An entire section of the hill, including trees, subsided as the landslide struck the region. Moreover, due to rainfall in the region, the area has become prone to landslides, endangering the residents.
