A farmer of Silen villlage in Churachandpur district of Manipur state has came up a very unique and innovative solution for himself and his villagers to cross the river and reach the other side , where they have their farmlands , 50 year old Pu. Mangsei Haokip had made a ropeway wheel Chair to cross the river , the chair can be moved by paddling the hand paddles on both side with hands .

This ropeway wheel chair is above Leimata power house river . Mangsei who is a farmer tells that we stay in remote area , the bridge is little far from my place to cross the river , we face hardship to reach our farmland , so i made this , we saved half of our time to reach the next side by using this chair .

He adds four people can sit and cross the river with the help of this at a time . It took him around one week to implement his idea into reality to make this unique ropeway chair .

Mangsei told that he didn't have to spend much to make this I just purchased some vehicle bearings from market and rest everything I arranged like iron rods , paddles and wooden seats .
Mangsei creativity has brought ease to the life of his villagers , now they are using it to cross the river
