A python stuck under a 32ft-deep well was rescued in Thailand.

The 6-foot-long serpent was looking for food in the area when it slipped down the wet hole in Ang Thong province, Thailand on September 20.

It was discovered struggling to move in the narrow space by local Sittiphon Fakwai, 50, when he went to the well to fetch some water.

The man then called animal rescuers for help in evacuating it from the well as he could not save the reptile by himself.

Sittiphon said: ‘I was about to take some water when I noticed something moving at the bottom. I realised it was a snake so I called the rescue team.’

Upon arrival, the team used a pole and long ropes to reach the snake. It then clung to the pole and was pulled out uninjured.
