Elderly people in India are resisting corona vaccinations due to the fear that it may have adverse effect on their health. When health officials visit their villages they desperately try to avoid them. Health officials visited Boodagumpa village at Koppal district in the state of Karnataka to give Corona vaccination shots to the residents. A 70-year-old man named Huchchappa Chalavaadi climbed the roof of his house to avoid taking the injection. When they failed to persuade him to get down, one of the officials Panchayat Development Officer Zuber, climbed the roof and brought him down. Doctor Imtiaz somehow managed to give a shot to the resisting old man. Another old woman also put up stiff resistance. Though she failed to climb the roof, she struggled hard to dodge the shot. As her family members restrained her, a nurse managed to deliver after 30 minutes. Officials say in almost every village people especially elders were in panic about the injection. They called upon media to create awareness about the vaccination programme.
