A magnitude 6.7 quake jolted Indonesia’s western coast on Monday.

The United States Geological Survey said the tremor struck at 4:06 am GMT at a depth of 21 kilometres. The agency placed its epicentre at 167 kilometres west of Pariaman City.

Authorities said there were no initial reports of damage, injuries or casualties.
