Mini market and gas station destroyed in early morning fire in San Jacinto, California

SAN JACINTO, CA - On Tuesday 03/15/2022 at about 2:00 am, Calfire responded to reports of a commercial structure fire. Arriving crews located a mini market and gas station fully involved in flames at 2469 South San Jacinto Ave in the city of San Jacinto, in Riverside County, California. Firefighters initiated a heavy fire attack and achieved knockdown in approximately 20-25 minutes. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation. During the past few days a few fires around Hemet and San Jacinto have been blamed on a firebug in the area. Unknown at this time if this fire was caused by arson, but suspicions remain.
