Scooter slams into parked car after Chinese woman presses accelerator by mistake
A scooter crashed into a parked car after a woman pressed the accelerator by mistake in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Chaozhou in Guangdong Province on April 7 shows a scooter with a woman and a child on it suddenly crashing into a black car parked on the roadside.
The scooter then knocked over another scooter and fell down onto the ground.
According to reports, the woman did not turn off the engine after she stopped. She then accidentally twisted the handle of the scooter and launched it.
The black car owner named Lai said to Guangdong Television that he ran out to check immediately and fortunately the woman and the child were not injured.
Lai paid for the repair fee himself.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
