Pet owner saves cat using basket after moggie fell on flooded ditch
A pet owner saved his cat using a basket after the moggie fell into a flooded ditch.
Saba Srisang had been looking for their grey Siamese cat named Barbie in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 20.
The pet owner searched around their neighbourhood and found the feline stuck on a flooded ditch while clinging to a clump of grass.
While reassuring their scared pet, Saba and his friend took a ladder and a bucket which they used to rescue their beloved cat.
Saba said: ‘We were looking for Barbie around lunchtime because it was not like her to be gone for that long. We then saw her trapped in the ditch. I was relieved she was safe.'
The cat was unhurt and taken home before being fed.
Thailand is home to several native varieties of cats, including the Siamese breed.
