A pet cat stranded on a roof was rescued using a blanket.

The hapless Puspin feline named Ginger climbed up the structure to enter the house but had trouble reaching the window in Metro Manila, the Philippines on August 30.

The moggy cried until pet owner Geli Bayubay found her waiting for help. She looked for an object to save the cat with, but only a cloth was sitting on the bed.

Footage shows the orange cat reaching her paws for the blanket before she was pulled up the window.

Cat lover Geli said: 'My pet is like Rapunzel's mother. She always comes through the window.'

The pet owner added that the cat repeated the funny stunt that night and was rescued using the same blanket again.

Geli added: 'She doesn't learn. She was trapped on the roof again at night and missed her dinner. I saved her again using the blanket.'
