This is the dramatic moment a quick-thinking woman ran to safety as a car crashed just yards away from her.

The unidentified commuter was waiting under a tree while scrolling on her phone when a white pickup truck overtuned behind her in Sing Buri province, Thailand, on November 3.

Upon hearing the banging sounds, the local turned on her heels and darted away from the out-of-control vehicle.

Footage shows the woman quickly moving away as the pickup truck stopped inches from where she had been standing.

Rescue volunteer Khun Job said: ‘The pickup truck collided with motorcycles, and it went out of control.

‘There were about 12 motorcycles that figured in the accident. The pedestrian who called us narrowly survived.'

The woman moved to the other side of the road before calling for help. Rescuers from Po Tek Tung Singburi Foundation arrived at the scene.

No one was reported seriously hurt in the incident, while the collision incident remained under investigation.
