A student narrowly avoided an out-of-control pickup truck which overturned and came to a stop next to her.

The youngster was walking home from school on a pavement when she heard a loud screech in Ratchaburi province, central Thailand, on July 6.

The quick-thinking girl ran away before the vehicle was seen crashing only 10ft behind her.

CCTV footage shows the frantic girl leaping for cover before the truck flew in her direction. Another clip showed the student returning to check on the car and called for help.

House owner Sirirat Yookong who owned the CCTV that recorded the incident said: ‘'The young schoolgirl was walking home alone. Suddenly, I heard the loud crash and saw the car flying towards her so I quickly ran out to check the student and then the car. She was also shouting for help.'

Two people, the driver and passenger, were injured after the crash but they were immediately rushed to the hospital. They were in a stable condition.

The girl was unhurt and went home safely after the scary incident.
