Filmed in Dalian, northern China, the video shows a wild sika deer trapped in a railing and crying out in distress.

Local residents joined forces to rescue the deer, and as it was freed, the crowd erupted in excitement.

Witness Ms Chu described how some people immediately sprang into action, while others called emergency services. Within a matter of minutes, the deer was successfully rescued.

"In recent years, Dalian has been home to wild sika deer due to its proximity to mountains and the sea. These deer are well protected. They rarely enter urban areas and usually follow the coastal road," explained Chu.

The video was filmed on May 18 and provided with local media’s permission.
