Footage shows the moment a 3-year-old boy was pulled out alive from a borewell in Kul, Bihar, on July 23.

Visuals shared by India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) show the rescue team locating the toddler on a screen before they managed to pull him out after a five-hour operation.

Cheers were heard as the 3-year-old covered in mud was eventually rescued. The boy, named Shivam Kumar, had fallen into a narrow hole when he was playing outdoors.

A three year child was rescued after he fell into a 40-foot-deep borewell in northern India's kul villages Nalanda district,Bihar on July 23.

Visuals showed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel at work as they rescued the three-year-old boy. The officials surrounded the borewell in which the child had fallen into and then pulled him with loud cheers from the others. The boy, covered in mud after being rescued, had his face wiped with a piece of cloth. According to a report, a farmer had dug the borewell and left it uncovered and this boy, identified as Shivam Kumar, fell into it while playing. "After hours of effort, the NDRF officials were able to save the trapped boy and he was given medical assistance after being saved. The boy has been rescued and is doing fine. He was rushed to a hospital. It took us about 5 hours to pull him out alive," NDRF officer Ranjeet Kumar said. footage sources by NDRF
