This determined couple pushed through with their wedding at a flooded church as consecutive typhoons lashed the Philippines over the weekend.

Heartwarming footage shows overjoyed bride Dianne Victoriano wading through ankle-deep floods as she glided down the aisle of the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan province, looking ethereal in her white wedding gown on July 30.

Despite the water soaking her shoes and wedding train, unfazed Dianne, holding a bouquet of white and pink roses, walked towards the altar to say her vows, with emotional guests taking pictures of the touching moment.

The newlywed wife said: 'When we saw the church flooded, we just resolved to push through with the ceremony, no matter what.

'It didn't matter if the guests refused to come because of the situation. What's important is that we wanted to be married, that the two of us were there, and that our families were with us.'

Dianne's husband Paulo Padilla said the roads leading to the church had also been submerged in floods, but that did not deter them from proceeding with the wedding.

He said: 'Even though our car felt like it was going to sink, we kept going to make it to the church.'

The couple said they were also thankful that their guests still attended despite the heavy flood and poor weather.

Dianne added: 'We braved tall floods just to make it out of our houses. Nothing was impossible. Of all the impossible things, God made that day possible for us.'

The provincial government had placed Bulacan, where Barasoain Church is located, under a state of calamity due to severe floods caused by Super Typhoon Doksuri.

The storm had exited the Philippine monitoring zone on July 27, but its remnants were enhancing the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile Tropical Storm Khanun churned towards the country on July 29, bringing heavy rain and flooding as it intensified into a full-fledged typhoon by Sunday.

Khanun is forecasted to batter the Philippines until August 1 before moving northwest.
