SWAT officer's heroic 36-second rescue saves woman from drowning
A SWAT officer's heroic 36-second rescue saved a woman from drowning in eastern China.
The video was filmed in Jining City in Shandong Province on March 10.
SWAT officers received a distress call from the public while patrolling the streets. A woman was reported to have fallen into the water nearby.
Without hesitation, the patrol team rushed to the scene, equipped with lifebuoys.
Upon arrival, they spotted a woman floating not far from the shore, with the water occasionally submerging her head, indicating a dire situation.
Officer Wang Yanhai immediately threw the lifebuoy towards the woman and plunged into the chilling waters.
Wang swiftly swam towards the woman, reassuring her along the way, "Relax, don't be afraid. I'll swim you to the shore."
To keep the woman calm, Wang comforted her as he dragged her towards safety.
In a remarkable display of teamwork and efficiency, they managed to pull the woman to safety in just 36 seconds.
With the collective efforts of the team, the woman was safely rescued and escorted to a police car for warmth.
"You have been through a lot, thank you very much!" she expressed her gratitude to the officers.
Once it was confirmed that the woman was unharmed, the patrol team finally breathed a sigh of relief, knowing they had averted a potential tragedy.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
