Rescuers extracted a kitten from a car engine and searched for it under tall grass when it escaped.

Footage shows the volunteers and the driver checking the car for the crying cat in Chonburi, Thailand, on March 21.

But when it was freed, the scared moggy hopped into the vacant lot nearby with weeds, so everyone had to look again.

The cat was eventually found safe and adopted by the driver who first heard it.

Later that day, the team was called to Nong Yai Hospital to help save a cat trapped behind one of its walls.

The team rescued the feline by using a small camera to confirm its whereabouts and drilled the concrete wall in just ten minutes.

Rescue volunteer member Alongkorn said: 'The black kitty at the hospital did not stop making noise; we quickly stuck our hand in the gap and brought it out before it was too late.

'I want to thank the community for letting us know. It took all of us working together to save the two animals and make everyone happy.'
