Leopard released safely into forest after rescue in Southern India

In a remarkable wildlife rescue operation in southern India's Kerala, a leopard was safely captured and later released back into the forest.

The incident took place at Muppainad Grama Panchayat along Nallanur road in Wayanad district on August 20.

Visuals captured the leopard inside a trap cage last night, with the rescue team ensuring extreme safety as they transferred the animal. Furthermore, early this morning, the leopard was released into the forest from a van, following strict safety protocols enforced by the officers.

Speaking to Newslions, Wayanad Forest Department officer Ajith K Raman confirmed that the rescue occurred on August 20 in the region, and the leopard was successfully released into the forest on August 21.
