An injured stray cat was rescued and rehabilitated by a Good Samaritan who found it on the road.

The feline was hit by a passing car and was left lying in the path when it was spotted by Kim Zialcita in Manila, the Philippines, on September 26.

Footage shows the moggy, later named Miracle, looking weak as it lay on the ground before the kind motorist picked it up with another onlooker.

It was taken home, and Kim found out it was pregnant, so they took it to the vet for a health check.

Kim said: ‘The doctor checked the kittens and told us they are still alive. That was why I named the cat Miracle.'

Miracle remains in the care of Kim and his family as it recovers from its injuries.
