A leopard was seen carrying away a calf in India.

Footage shows the wild cat dragging its prey. The filmer chased the leopard, which jumped and sat on the boundary wall, leaving the calf behind at the Air Force Station in Bihta, Patna, on October 25.

Authorities confirmed that a nearby school had been closed due to multiple sightings of the big feline. The forest department has been trying to capture it for the past 10 days.

Local reports indicate that leopards have been attacking and killing individuals in the country. Statistics estimate there have been 551 deaths from leopard and tiger attacks over a span of 20 years.
