moment Seconds Seconds of the natural disaster, a large landslide in Indonesia closed the main road for thousands of residents
This is the second of a large landslide that occurred on the national road in Tadokalua Village, Tabang District, Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi, Indonesia, on Saturday 16 November 2024 afternoon.
The 50 meter high cliff collapsed, trees and rocks beneath the material collapsed, thus blocking the entire road.
As a result, the main access for thousands of residents driving two- and four-wheeled vehicles cannot pass.
"Currently, the landslide location cannot be passed by either two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles due to material still covering the entire road," said Pana Police Chief, First Police Inspector Amsal Pamean.
Currently, the police and local government are urging the public to remain alert. Because the intensity of rain in this area is still quite high.
"We urge residents to always be alert, considering that the intensity of rainfall which causes landslides is still quite high," said Amsal.
