Truck with burning wheels rattles along dusty road
This is the terrifying moment a truck with burning wheels rattled along a dusty road.
Footage captured by Lim Sopheaktra shows the fourteen-wheeler cargo truck manoeuvring across an open field as its rear tyres are engulfed in flames in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, on January 23.
Black smoke can be seen billowing into the air.
Lim said: 'The truck driver had to park the vehicle away from people while his colleagues prepared to extinguish the fire.'
No one was reportedly injured in the incident.
The primary causes of tyre fires are excessive heat from dragging brakes, failing wheel bearings, or underinflated tyres.
Regular maintenance and inspections of brakes, bearings, and tyre pressure can help prevent such fires. Using tyre pressure monitoring systems and checking pressures regularly are good preventive measures.
