In a dramatic incident, a man caused a commotion at a train station by climbing onto a high-voltage transmission line and was rescued by the efforts of employees and locals.

The incident occurred at Gadarwara railway station in Narsinghpur district, in northern India’s Madhya Pradesh, on the morning of February 27.

Visuals show the man lying on top of the transmission line as panicked locals and railway employees gather beneath him, holding a large tarpaulin sheet in an attempt to catch him if he falls. They then place ladders, and a brave employee climbs up to save him. However, the man moves further along the transmission line, making the rescue more challenging. He then hangs upside down as several men reach him to rescue. After multiple failed efforts, they manage to tie a rope around his waist while standing on the high-voltage line, risking their lives. He is then pulled down, though he resists significantly. He finally lands on the ground, after which the rescue team safely climbs down. The crowd checks on the man after the rescue.

According to reports, the man has been identified as Patta. Passengers alerted the Railway Protection Force immediately after witnessing Patta climb the transmission line. The police promptly arrived at the scene and rescued him with the help of employees and locals. An investigation is underway, and authorities are also assessing Patta’s mental condition.
