A Thai policeman chased a motorcycle rider who refused to stop for an inspection.

Captain Panuwat Yanafan tried to flag down the counterflowing motorist but they sped away instead of pulling over in Bangkok, Thailand on September 29.

Body cam footage shows the dramatic pursuit of the officer with the law violator along the busy roads of the Southeast Asian country.

He eventually caught up with the man when he crashed on the curb before his hands were handcuffed.

Captain Panuwat said: ‘I saw the motorcycle driving against traffic. I asked for his license but acted suspiciously. He even tried to get away from us.'

The suspect was handcuffed and dragged to the local station. He was charged and convicted of refusing to stop for a policeman and riding a motorcycle without a valid license.
