Deputies Rescue Trapped Man From River in Nighttime Operation
MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — A man trapped on the river was rescued by Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Lake Patrol Deputies on the night of May 25, thanks to the combined efforts of alert community members, skilled dispatchers, and determined deputies.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of someone calling for help. Navigating dense brush, rugged terrain, and darkness, the deputies pressed forward until they located the man and brought him to safety.
“This life-saving effort wouldn’t have been possible without the quick action of concerned community members who called it in,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post, crediting the collaborative work of dispatch and officers on the scene.
The man was safely rescued, and no injuries were reported. The incident underscores the importance of community involvement and teamwork between the public and first responders in emergency situations.
