Panic erupted late Friday night at the upscale Ramada Hotel in Bareilly after a speeding SUV rammed through the hotel’s main entrance and crashed straight into the reception area.

The incident, which occurred on the night of July 25, was captured on the hotel’s CCTV cameras.

According to reports, the SUV was being driven by a woman who had come to the hotel for dinner with her husband, a doctor. After dinner, she took the wheel, but the car—reportedly in gear—accelerated unexpectedly when the accelerator was mistakenly pressed. The SUV broke through the glass doors and came to a halt inside the reception area.

Narrow Escape for Four
Four individuals—two standing near the gate and two outside—managed to escape in time, avoiding what could have been a serious tragedy. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

No Legal Action Taken
Inspector Dhananjay Pandey from Baradari Police Station reached the spot. However, both parties opted for a mutual settlement, and no legal action was taken. The hotel manager, Pradeep Kumar, downplayed the incident and stated that no complaint had been filed.
