Phoenix, United States - August 18, 2025 08/17/2025 11:12 pm GMT-0700 GILBERT, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) troopers responded to a multi-vehicle collision on the Loop 202 near Lindsay Road late Sunday evening. According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, a traffic collision involving at least two vehicles occurred in the eastbound lanes of the Loop 202, just West of Lindsay Road. During the collision, a person was ejected from one of the vehicles into the westbound lanes of traffic. At least one motorist driving in the westbound lanes struck the ejected victim. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and pronounced the ejected victim deceased. It is unknown if anyone else sustained any injuries in the collision. DPS closed both directions of the Loop 202 between Gilbert Road and Lindsay Road for several hours as they conducted their investigation into the collision.
