Phoenix, United States - December 10, 2025 12/10/2025 12:30 am GMT-0700 CHANDLER, Ariz. – Troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a traffic collision on the eastbound SanTan Loop 202 near Arizona Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, they found a two-vehicle crash involving a GMC that had struck the rear of a white hatchback at a high rate of speed. According to information gathered at the scene, troopers discovered at least one person suffering from serious injuries. Firefighters from the Chandler Fire Department were dispatched to assist the victims. At least two people were transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition. In response to the collision, troopers closed the eastbound lanes of Loop 202 at Alma School Road, diverting all traffic off the freeway. The roadway was expected to remain closed for several hours as an investigation into the collision continued.
