Locals rescue dog trapped in deep pit in China
This is the heartwarming moment a group of kindhearted locals rescued a dog that was trapped in a deep pit in China.
The youngsters heard the helpless pup barking for help, prompting them to immediately retrieve the canine from the well in Chongqing.
Footage shows the rescuers fastening a safety harness onto one of their friends before he carefully descended into the hole to reach the frightened animal on October 9.
He then secured the dog inside a sack and tied a rope around its opening, signalling the others to pull it up.
Once the animal was safely hoisted out, the man climbed up the yellow ladder. The dog did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
