US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Bicyclist Struck And Killed
Bakersfield, United States - October 25, 2025 10/25/2025 03:41 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – An investigation is underway after a bicyclist was struck and killed early Saturday morning on South Union Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident page. Emergency crews from CHP, Bakersfield Police Department, and Bakersfield Fire Department responded just before 4 a.m. to reports of a vehicle that struck a bicyclist in the 5700 block of South Union Avenue. The bicyclist died at the scene. Following the initial crash, a secondary collision occurred. It is unclear whether the bicyclist was struck again while in the roadway or if anyone else was injured. The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity.
