ALLIANCE, Ohio — An unusual call came in to Alliance Police this week: a report of a man wearing a cowboy hat riding a bull through a Walmart parking lot.

Officer Hook responded to the call and located the rider and his bull a short distance away in the lot of Tractor Supply Co. on West State Street. The pair were simply passing through town for a rodeo event in Columbiana this weekend, police said.

No laws were broken, and the interaction ended on a friendly note — with Officer Hook taking a moment to hop up for a photo with the bull and its owner.

Police said while the call was out of the ordinary, they appreciated the community’s attentiveness and were glad the situation turned out to be harmless. Source: City of Alliance Police Department
