This is the moment a cheating wife, her lover and their common friend were tied to a tree and flogged in public in Dhar district of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.



A kangaroo court, comprising the woman’s husband and her in-laws, decided the 28-year-old woman with a child, her 22-year-old lover and her accomplice — a minor girl from her in-laws’ family — be flogged 100 times in public.

The love birds had eloped on May 11. The family of the woman in question has filed a missing complaint with the police, but before the cops could track them down, the family members laid their hands on the couple and brought them back to the village.



Wasting no time, a Kangaroo court was summoned to decide the fate of the couple that indulged in adultery. It was unanimously decided that the woman and her lover would be flogged 100 times in public to discourage others to commit such a ‘heinous crime.’

One of the villagers who was part of the Kangaroo court told local journalist Dinesh Kumar: “We wanted to make an example out of them. How can you live your small child, your husband and decide to settle down with your lover. This is no love, this is simple lust. I think we have sent out a loud and clear message to desist from such misadventure.”



According to sources, the man identified only as Ravi, 22, eloped with Sunita. The incident took place in Arjun Colony of Dhar district. The men could also be seen trying to extract confession from them as they inhumanely whipped the trio.



The angry villagers also kick, punched the women and also pulled their hair. As one of the female victim writhed in pain and tried to cover her derriere, her hands were held tightly and whipped. All three victims could be heard screaming and pleading for mercy, but the torture continued unabated.



As the news spread, police reached the spot and arrested five people who were involved in flogging the women. They have also registered an FIR, in which at least nine people have been named.



Sanjeev Mule, City Superintendent Of Police, Dhar, said, "A case has been registered and nine people have been named in the complaint. Five people have been arrested, rest of them will also be arrested soon."
