Bicyclist Killed After Hit and Run Driver Knocks the Victim to the Ground who is Later Run Over and Dragged Under an Unsuspecting Vehicle
LAFD responded to a vehicle vs a bicyclist arriving crews located a bicycle with severe damage from being hit by a car in the 2300 block of West 48th Street just before the intersection with Arlington Ave. The victim was located underneath a white sedan opposite the intersection in the 2100 block of W 48th Street. The driver of the white sedan was unaware of striking the victim who was already laying in the street following the collision with the hit and run driver. The driver of the sedan dragged the victim underneath her car until she came to a stop and realizing what occurred. The victim was declared deceased at the scene. The responsible party that struck the victim and fled is still at large. The intersection of Arlington Ave and 48th Street and Cimarron Street have been closed as a crime scene pending the conclusion of the investigation.
