Rescuers in western India hauled a trapped blackbuck from a deep well on Friday.

Footage shows the men using a net to lift the stricken animal to safety in Yeola town in Maharashtra state.

The animal immediately runs off into the wild.

The blackbuck is also known as the Indian antelope was once widespread in the country but is now mainly found in protected areas of India .

A blackbuck was rescued from a deep well after it fell inside the reservoir in western India's Maharashtra.

The incident took place on Oct. 11 near Yeola town of the state's Nashik district.

Visuals showed the antelope sitting on a cot lowered by rescuers in order to pull it out.

After a few seconds, a man is seen lowering himself in the well and tugging at the rope tied to the cot.

Seeing the man, the blackbuck starts to move and fall down from the cot.

However, the rescuers show patience and lower the cot further as the seer swims towards it.

It soon sits in the middle of the cot as the rescuers slowly pull it out.

Once the cot is brought up, the blackbuck jumps out of it and runs towards the wild.
