Alert cop rescues passenger who slips from moving train in south India

An alert Railway Protect Force (RPF) constable rescued a passenger who slipped while attempting to board a moving train in Coimbatore in Southern India on October 26.

The Palakkad Town-Tiruchirapally train was filmed by a CCTV camera leaving platform number 3 at 8.30 am. An unidentified man tried to get into the moving train but lost his balance and slipped.

An RPF constable P V Jayan, who was on duty and was close to the train, responded instantly and pushed the passenger back into the coach.

Officials said Jayan;s action saved the man’s life who would have otherwise fallen into the between the train and the platform.

Station Director, Sathesh Saravannan presented a cash award and a certificate to Jayan.
