Miraculous moment baby elephant rescued by forest department officials after it fell into a 25-feet farm well in the east Indian state of Jharkhand. The incident took place on January 28 in a small village of Bantoli located in the state's Gumla district.  Visuals show the elephant trapped inside the farm well as the locals gather to watch the rescuers at work. Next, the mammal is seen trying to lift its trunk above the surface of the water as motor pumps began pumping water inside the well. Later, the men created an exit ramp by widening the area around the well with the help of JCB excavator machine. The calf slowly climbs out of the well as the gathered crowd immediately make way for the wild beast. According to the reports, the rescue operation was completed within two hours. After being rescued, the calf quickly ran away in the direction of the nearby forest to rejoin its herd.
