This is the hilarious moment a hapless dog fell while crossing a log used as a makeshift bridge at a farm.

Nussara Homthong was walking her pet dog named Goldie in Ayutthaya, Thailand when it boldly tried to cross the piece of timber on August 20.

Goldie was tip-toeing across when his owner yelled out for him to be careful. Startled, the pooch fell into the water and wet his whole body.

The amused dog owner said: "I thought he was a pro at balancing and doing tricks. I think I scared my poor boy and made him nervous so he fell."

Nussara said her pooch, an Aspin breed, was given a shower when they arrived home to remove the mud from its fur.

The roads in her village were muddy after raining the night before. Southeast Asia is currently going through its annual rainy season lasting from May until October.
