Border Security forces in West Bengal had an early Hollow-een surprise when they discovered 11 cellphones INSIDE a pumpkin.

The discovery was made in Malda district at the Bangladesh-India border on September 29 morning. One man has been arrested.

Footage shows officials cutting open the squash, revealing several cellphones wrapped in plastic.

According to the reports, the central security agency received a tip-off about the phones being brought in by an Indian smuggler.

They immediately alerted troops near the scene.

The goods recovered are estimated to be worth around $1,280.

Border Security Force (BSF) arrested a man trying to smuggle over 11 mobile phones inside a pumpkin in the east Indian state of West Bengal.

The incident took place in Bangladesh-India border of Malda district on September 29 morning.

The video shows, the officials cutting open the pumpkin and taking out the mobile phones wrapped in plastic cover.

According to the reports, the central security agency based on specific information received about the mobile phones being smuggled by an Indian smuggler.

They immediately alerted the troops at the Churiyatpur close to Tarabandi Gate No. 13.

Officials immediately started checking the person trying to cross the border with pumpkin with square shape cut on them, on getting suspicious they immediately took everything into custody.

The goods recovered are estimated to be worth around 1280 USD.

The officials are investigating into the matter.

It is stated that the BSF had handed over the smuggler identified as Aseem Mandal, who has given more information about the smuggler from Bangladesh named Santosh Mandal and Sohibur Sheikh.

The BSF is said to maintain Zero Smuggling principal and strict vigilance at the international border around the clock.
