Police officials seized 1416 kg (3220 lbs) of cannabis worth Rs. 29 lakh (USD 38,656) from southern India's Andhra Pradesh on April 23. The incident took place in Maredumilli in the East Godavari district.

A video features several sacks containing cannabis stacked near the confiscated lorry in broad daylight. Moreover, the officials seize two bikes, and several other items from the accused.

Rampachodavaram A SP Bindumadhav was arrested for smuggling marijuana within the Maredumilli police station. The cops seized around 1461 kg (3220 lbs) of cannabis from a lorry worth Rs. 29 lakh (USD 38,656). Moreover, the police officials have seized two bikes, one truck, and seven cellphones regarding this matter. Along with these, six people were arrested while two others absconded.
